By boat Bigstone Lake is 12 miles long from one end to the other. The lake has very few reefs and is easy to navigate. It is a pike haven with many bays, shallows and weed beds to provide excellent habitat.

Surrounding the lake is a mix of evergreen trees, aspen and birch. We have been fortunate to have no large forest fires near Bigstone.

The shoreline of the lake is very rugged in places with rock cliffs and outcroppings.

 

In addition to the fishing and spectacular scenery this area provides opportunity at viewing wildlife, including moose, bears and many species of birds.
